Barnes limped to the locker room with 1:16 left in the first quarter favoring his right ankle following a play under the defensive basket. He returned after the ankle was retaped.

Toronto looked sharper to start the second quarter and used an 8-0 run to cut the deficit to five points with 9:04 to play. Herro fed Mitchell, who made a 24-foot 3-pointer from near the left sideline to give Miami a 12-point lead with 4:06 left. Miami led 57-48 at halftime.

Toronto chipped away, and when Robinson stuffed in an offensive rebound, the lead was reduced to one with 5:06 left in the third quarter.

The Raptors took a one-point lead with 3:19 remaining in the third after Jonathan Mogbo’s block set up a fastbreak that finished with Dick making a 3-pointer that bounced around the rim before dropping. The Heat rallied to lead 84-80 after three quarters.

Toronto’s Jakob Poeltl (hip pointer) missed his sixth straight game.
